Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and INNOCATION CO., LTD. ("we") for your use of the Kanji Pass app. By using the app you accept them. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA) also applies.

The app

Kanji Pass is a study tool for Japanese kanji. A free tier is available with advertising and limits on some features. A Premium subscription removes ads and unlocks the full content and practice features described in the app at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions

Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you buy. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your store account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the end of the period already paid. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If we change the price, the store will notify you in advance as its rules require.

Content and accuracy

We work to keep readings, meanings and examples accurate, but the app is provided for self-study and may contain errors. It does not guarantee any examination result. Illustrations are generated with the help of AI tools and are memory aids, not literal definitions. Please report mistakes through the support page.

Acceptable use

The app and its content are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the content, or attempt to bypass the subscription or advertising systems. Stroke-order data is derived from KanjiVG and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 licence; other open-source components are listed in the app.

Availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If a paid feature is removed during a period you have paid for, contact us and we will work with the store on an appropriate remedy.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without affecting mandatory protections of the country where you live.
